Please make sure to book the Initial Acupuncture session if this is your first visit with us or if it's been over 1 year since you're last visit! Acupuncture is a holistic medicine that began about 3,500 years ago in China. Acupuncture is the use of small needles to free and aid one's qi, often translated as energy or life force. This method of healing doesn't just treat disease, it treats the person, combining the physical with the emotional or spiritual, or internal, being. Chinese medicine strives to heal with the idea that the mind is richly integrated with the body, that both must be attended to. The best results can be achieved from acupuncture when it is practiced regularly. Rather than a quick fix, it should be viewed as a lifestyle change, like eating healthy, or regular exercise.

Dr. Kevin Graine earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West, where he also gained expertise in corrective movement exercises and received certification in the Webster Chiropractic technique. He has a rich background in personal training with an ACE personal training certificate, and a lifelong passion for holistic health. Growing up, he was always active, enjoying surfing, hiking, snowboarding, and soccer. His undergraduate studies ignited his interest in preventative health and the alignment of mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.

During his time at chiropractic school, Kevin developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of the human body, especially the spine and nervous system’s role in controlling mind and body functions. After experiencing low back pain at a young age and finding relief through chiropractic care, he knew there was something special about this healing art and science. His education has provided him with a solid foundation in chiropractic care, which he blends with bio-energetic principles and structural spine analysis, a technique pioneered by his mentor Dr. Rebecca Nystrom.

Kevin is trained in pre- and post-natal care using the Webster technique, as well as pediatric and infant care, drop table adjustments, activator methods, Bio-Geometric Integration, Toggle, and the Gonstead full spine technique. All to give a well rounded chiropractic adjustment and a holistic analysis of the spine.

Dr. Nikki is originally from the Midwest but came to California for chiropractic school and ended up loving it! She received her education from Life Chiropractic College West and graduated in 2021. She enjoys spending her free time hiking with my dog Brutus, playing sports, surfing, and relaxing with friends. She has a passion for helping animals and became a certified animal chiropractor in September 2022. She proceeded to open her own animal chiropractic business in April of 2023 called Happy Tails Animal Chiropractic.

Her approach to chiropractic is to look at the body as a whole. She finds it very important to not only address the joints within the body, but also the muscles and other tissues surrounding those joints. Along with spinal adjustments, she also adjusts extremities when necessary. In addition to adjustments and soft tissue work, she provides corrective exercises to reduce the risk of re-injury because she believe it’s important for you to be in control of your own health.
